Background:

Data demonstrates that most migrants do not manage to use their qualifications and educational background to find a job when entering the European labour market and most of them end up working in an environment completely unrelated to their previous knowledge and skills.

This happens despite the presence of apprenticeships, training, vocational and educational courses and other instruments which want to facilitate the entrance of youths and adults into the labour market.

Most of these tools are partially covering their needs for skill identification and recognition, while they do not consider the labour market trends.
The RRP put migrants’ needs at their heart, be shaped and designed accordingly. A pilot group of migrants will have, therefore, the opportunity to use these tools; their feedback will be at the core of the realization of the RRP project.

Officers on the ground using the RRP application will be able to verify their credentials and access an online database of certificates, CVs and skills that will be established through the project.

At the same time, there is a growing perception that migrants and refugees move to new countries to gain benefits and rights they do not deserve. Their basic human right to dignity and respect is often violated.

Member States need to adopt more uniform tools and procedures to ensure more efficient and effective integration of immigrants into their society, restoring their respect and dignity.

In this context, RRP will create innovative tools (interactive platform and a mobile app), which will act as an early intervention program for refugees and migrants (Target Group), who cannot procure documentary evidence of their qualifications.
Project Objectives

Our key objective is to help restore respect in migrant communities. We aim to facilitate the recognition and certification of skills and competencies of migrants and refugees in Europe by creating a platform that will enhance their employability and integration with the help of a curriculum and an online toolkit that will assist them to gain recognition for their qualifications  and will also help them to:
  • Develop a CV
  • Undergo an interview
  • Create a Network
  • Making a new business

The RRP platform and app will not only assist migrants and refugees to gain recognition of their qualifications and thus enhance their employability and integration but also help to address the bias and misconceptions about them.
