Restorative Justice and Peer Mediation 
The Building Youth Resilience RJ4All video-series aim to give children, young people and their families the skills and knowledge to become more resilient when it comes to violence and marginalisation. They also aim to train young people, students and non professionals on the the values and practices of restorative justice and human rights in order to increase their awareness on the risks associated with gangs and violent radicalization. The series can be particularly useful as an online tool to be used by students in primary and secondary education in the UK but it has been designed for any person who wants to know more about the topic.

What are Gangs? What are the risks?

In this video you are going to learn what a gang is, but more importantly, you'll see how people get involved, how to avoid it and what are the risks of joining a gang.

On this video we are going to discuss why understanding our emotions is important. You will learn why we sometimes find it difficult to express our emotions, and some tools to cope with your emotions.

Building Resilience

In this module, you are going to learn about resilience. We will define resilience, and explain what a resilient person looks like. You will learn about different contexts where you can be resilient, as well as strategies to build your resilience.

Positive Role Models

This video introduces the concept of positive role models. You will learn what role models are, how to become one and why it is important for young people to have role models.

Alternative Activities

The last video of this series teaches us about the importance and value of hobbies, volunteering, community engagement and how they can help us stay on a positive path in life.

Violence and Domestic Abuse

Since the beginning of the lockdown, many countries have reported a surge in cases of domestic and sexual violence, also known as gender-based violence (GBV), as well as violence against children. Moreover, there is evidence of perpetrators using lockdown measures to exploit and abuse child child contact arrangements. As a response to this, we have added a video to our project addressing Domestic Abuse. 

At this time, children are at heightened risk of all forms of violence, including neglect, violent discipline by family members and emotional abuse. Removing children from a protective environment such as school, exacerbates these risks.
