Culture and Art for Unity (CA4U)

Held:
8th April 2019, 11:00 - 16:00 at the Canada Water Library
21 Surrey Quays Road SE16 7AR

Celebrating culture and unity through our children’s art

Event Objectives:

Celebrating culture and unity through our children’s art, following on from the last event, which focused on the Windrush generation and race equality. This exhibition aims to bring together local people, children and their families to enjoy the results of months of hard work by our children, while also using their original art as prompts for a much needed discussion on community cohesion in SE16 London.

Join us to:
  • Celebrate with us the achievements of our children who have been working hard over the last few months in creating original art that expresses their views, knowledge and feelings on race equality.
  • Hear from local decision makers, funders, young people and our children about what matters to them, and engage in a restorative justice dialogue bridging cultures and ages.
The event is free and you can simply book your ticket by donating just one penny! However, we do ask you to give what you can. RJ4All and Bizzie bodies are small, non-profit organisations that work with local communities to empower them through educational programmes. We encourage all our service users to consider a small donation when benefiting from us. This will allow us to continue providing our charitable and free services to the most marginalised groups of our society.
