Empowering & Restoring Communities

Building the first London restorative post-code

Services at the RJ4All Community Centre

The RJ4All Rotherhithe Community Centre is South East London's hub of community empowerment and cohesion. Through the Centre, we aim to implement our Founder's vision of making SE16 London's first restorative post-code.

At RJ4All, we believe that in order to achieve community cohesion and reduce anti-social behaviour, first we must adopt a holistic approach that addresses the reasons that lead to divisions.  Poverty and power abuse must be rooted out, if we are genuinely interested in supporting and empowering communities to participate and indeed enjoy civic life equally. To this end, all local service providers (public, private and voluntary) must come together and under the guidance of the restorative justice values of power sharing, equality, dignity and respect support local communities.

With the above vision in mind and with the support of our landlord,   Clarion Futures Communities , Southwark Council and many local stakeholders, we have set up the following services, which are open to anyone:

  • FOOD: The RJ4All Food Bank and Community Fridge: The Food Bank is opened every day based on availability and the Community Fridge is opened every Tuesday 11am - 2pm. Call us to check availabilities!
  • EDUCATION & DIGITAL INCLUSION: The RJ4All Community Digital Hub & library: Monday to Friday 9:30 - Friday 17:30 Our hub includes a restorative justice library, children’s books, FREE wifi, computers, tablets, and  sim cards for free usage and borrowing. We also provide digital drop-in workshops, that are free for anyone who wants to improve their digital skills.
  • SOCIAL COMMUNITY SPACE:  We keep our door open in the summer for people to come and stay cool and keep our heaters on in the winter as a warm hub. We also provide socialising activities. Our free Mending Workshop for Clarion residents takes place every Tuesday from 11:15am - 14:15pm. It's an opportunity for the community to come together and learn new techniques for old clothes. We also have Thursday Lates every week from 3.30 to 6.30 with free gardening and sustainability sessions.
  • HEALTH & COMMUNITY COHESION:
