The Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) International Institute is looking for passionate individuals who want to help others by volunteering for its food bank. The volunteers will need to be able to work from the RJ4All Rotherhithe community Centre in SE16 2LJ.

The Role


You will work in conjunction with the RJ4All team to provide support to families, who are based in South East London and the surrounding areas around the RJ4All Rotherhithe Community Centre. You will be involved in the RJ4All Food-bank achieving its overall purpose and key goals which will include but not limited to: holding the weekly food distribution, carry out daily and weekly stock checks and re-order, building and managing a team of volunteers and assisting customers to choose their shopping items and to complete simple forms.

Who are we looking for?

You will need to have an interest and background in the work that we do, and especially restorative justice, human rights, equality, youth justice and social justice. We are open to all kinds of applications including those that might not have a strong academic background. The RJ4All Project Team consists of passionate individuals with a mixture of practical, research, academic as well as lived experiences. We will expect you to be independent, hardworking, ambitious and believe in our founding restorative justice values. 


We will need you to:

  • Be self-motivated and be able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Have empathy and ability to work with a diverse range of people in an inclusive and proactive way
  • Have ability to lead, motivate, train and support volunteers
  • Have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Have Knowledge of and commitment to safeguarding practices and policies, and an ability to promote safeguarding among vulnerable clients and colleagues.
