We are a campaigning, skill and information sharing network of London organisations working to improve the lives of the 4in10 children living in poverty across the capital. We know child poverty can be tackled if we work together to keep the spotlight on the damage that poverty is doing to families in London.
The Local Care Networks, in partnership with Community Southwark, are working to co-design and develop a more coordinated model of social prescribing in the borough. This will initially be focused on supporting people with long-term conditions, with a view to developing an evidence base for expanding to other population groups.
Since 2016 the Network has looked at a range of issues including a consultation on youth and play strategy and the refresh of the Youth Council structure. The Network has engaged with the Children and Families Commissioning Team on the Southwark 16+ Accommodation and Support Project and also on the Child Sexual Exploitation community engagement project.
The Mental Health Network is for groups and charities that are providing support and services to Southwark communities around mental health. The Network has covered a range of issues during its existence, including a local CCG joint project to review community adult mental health support and housing and the design and delivery of the Joint Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy for Southwark.
Aiming to connect, develop and influence, this network provides a cross-sector platform, drawing together public and private organisations, as well as the voluntary sector, social enterprises, and local, regional and national government, as partners in the same vision to build a successful future for young people in London..

BASIS (the British Association for Sustainable Sport) has provided expert help to sports clubs, venues, and governing bodies for over a decade – helping them to understand their impacts, set targets and implement processes to improve their environmental performance.
The DPA was established in 2021 by the Learning Foundation, Currys plc and the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Their main focus is policy and advocacy, gaining important evidence, and bringing the community together to create the social change needed to end digital poverty by 2030.
Southwark Council’s Digital Inclusion Group is an informal partnership of local organisations that have an interest in working together to improve outcomes for Southwark residents who are digitally excluded and/or lack digital skills.
