Job Description
The Role
The post is offered as part of our Associate Scheme, and has flexible working hours. The successful candidate will also have the possibility of employment after a short training.
This is a key role within the organisation working directly with the Director, Prof. Theo Gavrielides, to deliver RJ4All’s international, national and local projects on preventing violent radicalisation including group youth violence and gang crime. Furthermore, the post holder will be required to undertake fundraising and administrative tasks as well as manage interns, promote projects, participate and create workshops.
The Project
The GLOCAL project aims to enhance Climate Change education and address key competences around the professional development of teachers and address basic skills in learners while meeting their needs in an educational programme on Climate Change.
The project involves student mobility too and offers them a chance to be involved in strategic change.
The rationale of this project was developed as part of a consensus of understanding that sustainable living is a "must" and a necessary part of today’s education offer for students from all educational sectors.
The project will overall aim to boost participants’ creativity and expression by motivating them to create powerful awareness raising messages on the current environmental situation; develop participants digital competences by using the e-learning platform; disseminate project’s results at local level by means of the "GLocal" calendar and at national and international level by means of the project’s website and Facebook.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a youth worker with experience in action research methods and with an interest in making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged people locally, nationally and internationally. You will be conversant with research methods and have an interest in restorative justice.
London based only.
The successful applicant will also need to be willing to undertake a DBS check and enhanced security checks before commencing the role, in addition to relevant employment checks.
Key Tasks:
Project delivery and management
● To lead on delivering and managing projects of local, national and international scope including carrying out qualitative/ quantitative research (secondary and primary), analysing and reporting on findings, carrying out evaluations, producing publications and delivering training.
● Work with RJ4All’ User Groups to increase awareness on the topic.
● To adhere to the annual work plan and its delivery/ reporting deadlines.
● To adhere to the annual budget and be responsible for the singing off of the allocated
● projects’ expenditure.
● To collect, collate, organise and analyse relevant project monitoring and evaluation data and feed them into (1) funders’ reports for approval by the Director (2) the Director’s quarterly Board report (3) team meetings.
● To develop a Theory of Change for each allocated project and monitor and report on its delivery on a quarterly basis.
● Together with the Director, to develop new project ideas.
● To attend and speak at internal and external conferences, seminars, project meetings and other events, locally, nationally and internationally.
Volunteer/ interns management
a. To recruit volunteers/ interns from a range of backgrounds.
b. To be the line manager of a minimum of one part-time intern and to line manage them including supporting them in their training and skills development needs.
c. To carry out induction and exit interviews with volunteers and interns, record statistics, progress and any relevant paperwork as this is required by RJ4All and its funders.
d. To develop partnerships with volunteer referral sources.
Other
● To undertake all tasks respecting RJ4All’s Equality and Diversity Policy as well as its founding values;
● To comply with the RJ4all’s Handbook and European Commission’s grant agreements;
● To attend and participate in internal RJ4All meetings including staff meetings;
● To work cooperatively with other RJ4All staff and Board members;
● To attend relevant training in order to fulfil the requirements of the job;
● To co-operate in the formulation of and development of systems for monitoring and evaluating the work of RJ4All;
● To treat with confidentiality any information about RJ4All members, users, staff and research that could be deemed as personal, private or sensitive;
● To undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Director.

● The daily rate for the consultant’s engagement is £100 inclusive
